| Abstract: | LMS Omega is our implementation of open source software solution MOODLE. LMS has a faculty-wide usage with more than 250 teachers and teaching assistants as well as 3600 students involved in more than 280 online courses. We would like to mention the high adoption rate (more than 50% of the teacher/student population), which is rather unusal among institutions from our field (humanities and social sciences). The LMS is used in hybrid (blended) type of learning, providing additional/redundant communication channel between our teachers and students. |
| Inhalt: | Omega is used both as a tool for supporting university education i.e. blended learning and distant learning. It is used for regular and part-time students on undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. The LMS offers continuous evaluation of students, their active role in teaching and learning and communication between students, teaching staff and learning materials. |
