The illustrations by Jirí Petrácek help to define the overall atmosphere of the product. A huge number of photographs helps the students to understand the importance of archeological finds and well-preserved relics. The concept stresses working with maps and the use the timeline. To make the course more pleasant, students find here crossword puzzles, try the job of a real archeologist, track the path of "Forefather Czech", decode the mysterious writing in Glagolitic script... All texts are well dubbed. The exercise part The exercise part includes 170 screens in 15 chapters with exercises meant to serve as practice material. The game part Due to its style, animations and variety of questions - this part works as a very good motivation element and serves also as important variegation, especially for the students of elementary schools. The games carry the students to various time periods. The children find themselves i.e. in a village of mammoth hunters, accept an invitation to a feast or visit a middle-age castle, appear in the course of a Hussite battle and finally visit an alchemist workshop at the court of Rudolf II. The games may be played by one or two players, winners will be awarded by diplomas. Work sheets The work sheets are a favourite teaching aid, especially appreciated by teachers themselves. The sheets are greatly illustrated with rich content. The students will try various activities such as filling in, matching pairs, learn to recognize important historical figures, work with maps and timeline... To check whether the answers are correct - a version with the answers filled-in is also available. Picture cards for project teaching Project teaching requires high-quality teaching aids, which may be used for projects as well as for lessons without using a computer. There are three sets, each of which contains 52 cards, picturing the most important personalities and events of the particular period: - Board cards - a set of picture cards with texts. May be used as a decoration or for working with the timeline (a timeline may be represented by a colour string with colour pegs to hold the cards, to mark particular events or centuries). - Puzzle cards - a set of picture cards containing description of a particular person or event, without stating its name. To be cut to pieces and matched. (Picture + description of a person or event). - Text cards - a set of text cards to be cut to pieces and matched. Encyclopaedia The encyclopaedia includes a list of entries (terms, events, personalities) topped up by maps, illustrations and photographs.
